Trip to Wewurukannala Raja Maha Viharaya Sri Lanka

One of the most famous places to visit in Southern province. This is an old Buddhist temple which has a great historical value. (Google Maps Location)


The temple is dominated by the islands' largest statue of a seated Buddha. The statue is 160 feet in height and was originally built in the age of King Rajadhi (1782 – 1798).


The statue is so big that a passage way has been built behind the statue with pictures.
